When you're making a major purchase like double glazing or a conservatory, it's always wise to get more than one quote. Most advisors suggest at least three but you can get as many as you want.

We'd suggest that you try a minimum of one local and one big name or national double glazing company. Compare the prices and specifications of the quotes and make sure you are getting a like-for-like quote for each company to do a similar job.

Don't be scared to haggle over the price or for any special requirements such as stained glass or a cat door.
